Terms of Service
Soft launch · Last updated October 2, 2026
By using Dripstone, you agree to these terms. The service is operated by Josiah Wilson (hello@playdripstone.com) as an individual soft launch — not a registered LLC.
The service
Dripstone is AI-chat Minecraft hosting. You sign in with Google, subscribe, and chat with Terra — an AI assistant — to create and manage a vanilla Java Edition Minecraft server. There is no classic hosting control panel. Soft launch offers Always On at $14.99/month, with one server per subscription. Bedrock, crossplay, mods/modpacks, Paper/plugins, multiple servers, and scale-to-zero plans are not included at this time.
Accounts
You must sign in with a Google account you control and keep it secure — you're responsible for activity under your account. One person per account; don't share your login. We may suspend accounts used for abuse, fraud, or violations of these terms.
Minimum age
You must be at least 13 years old to use Dripstone. The paid subscription must be purchased by someone 18 or older (or by a parent or legal guardian on a minor's behalf) — the account holder who completes checkout is responsible for the billing.
Billing
- Subscriptions renew monthly at $14.99 until cancelled. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see your card number.
- Cancel anytime from Manage billing (the Stripe customer portal). Your server stays online until the end of your paid period.
- Refunds are handled case-by-case — contact us and a human will sort it out.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use Dripstone to:
- Break the law, or host content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, or sexually explicit involving minors.
- Attack other systems, distribute malware, or mine cryptocurrency on our infrastructure.
- Evade bans, impersonate others, or interfere with other customers' servers.
- Violate the Minecraft Usage Guidelines or EULA on your server (for example, pay-to-win schemes).
You're responsible for what happens on your server, including what your whitelisted players do. We may suspend or terminate service for violations, with or without notice for serious abuse.
Copyright and DMCA
If you believe content on Dripstone infringes your copyright, email a takedown notice to hello@playdripstone.com with: (1) a description of the copyrighted work, (2) where the infringing material is located, (3) your contact information, (4) a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized, and (5) your physical or electronic signature. We respond to valid notices and may terminate repeat infringers.
Terra is an AI — with limits
Terra is an AI assistant, not a person. She can misunderstand you, make mistakes, or confidently describe something that isn't true. Destructive actions (like deleting a server) always require your explicit confirmation, and a final world snapshot is taken before deletion — but you should still double-check anything important. Our AI disclosure explains her capabilities and limits in plain language.
Chat allowance
Terra chat includes a monthly allowance with daily, rate, concurrency, and resource safeguards. Long conversations, images, or unusually heavy requests may reach a fair-use limit sooner than the turn count. Current limits are shown on our pricing page. We warn near your monthly allowance and provide reset information when chat is paused. Reaching a chat limit does not stop your Minecraft server or block billing and server stats. We do not charge automatic chat overages.
Backups and data loss
We take automatic snapshots before server deletion and offer on-demand snapshots, and we work hard to keep your world safe. But no backup system is perfect: hardware can fail and software can have bugs. Keep your own copies of anything irreplaceable where practical. We are not liable for lost world data beyond restoring from the most recent snapshot we hold.
Availability
Dripstone is a soft launch. We aim for high availability but don't guarantee uptime — maintenance, incidents, and early- product rough edges happen. We'll communicate about outages in the app where we can.
Termination
You can stop using Dripstone and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these terms, non-payment, or abuse. On termination for cause, service stops immediately; your most recent world snapshot is retained for a short grace period where feasible.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dripstone is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Dripstone is operated from Post Falls, Idaho.
Dispute resolution
If you have a problem, email us first — most issues get resolved that way. Any dispute that can't be resolved informally will be settled in the state or federal courts located in Kootenai County, Idaho, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
Not affiliated with Mojang or Microsoft
Dripstone is not an official Minecraft product and is not approved by or associated with Mojang AB or Microsoft. Minecraft is a trademark of Mojang AB. Our servers are operated in compliance with the Minecraft Usage Guidelines.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Dripstone grows. Material changes will be flagged in the app or by email; continued use after changes take effect means you accept them.
General
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Dripstone for the service.
